This shoot was quite an experience for me, and I believe for the rest of my team as well! It took about one whole month of planning – researching, having discussions, sketching the scenes, pulling together my creative team, getting sponsorships, sourcing for props, selecting the outfits at their Bugis+ outlet, and even down to arranging for transportation!

On the day of the shoot, we were really blessed with beautiful weather, and it was really lucky for us because it had been raining heavily the whole week and that would mean rescheduling, re-baking the cupcakes and well, a lot of other troublesome stuff! It was very tiring with the sun beating down on us throughout the 6 hours of shoot, but we had a lot of fun! I also gained a lot of scars from sandfly bites which have yet to fully recover, but it was worth it!

I was very excited to be able to work with a lot of young talents on my creative team. Both Veena and Charlene (our model and stylist) are only 15 and 16 years young, and they are both aspiring fashion bloggers! Joanna, who is 18, made the cupcakes for our shoot. It not only looks good but tastes super yummy too! If you’d like to have some baked goodies for your friends or yourself, head down to her blog! Shout out to both my assistants, Sophie and Melvin (from Multifolds) for always giving me refreshing ideas and for your extra hands during the shoot; and Pari, the MUA I’ve worked with most for doing such a splendid job! And of course, the shoot wouldn’t have been so pretty without the kind sponsorship from Mirage Flowers. Wilson (from AndroidsinBoots) and I spent almost 2 hours picking out about $400 worth of beautiful flowers in a 10 degree room! Lastly, I’m glad to have worked with Cheryl and Michelle from the Dear Laura team who were very patient with me and helped pick out most of the props. Psst… I love Cheryl’s vintage mint bicycle, and it fit the theme well! Wish I could bring it home! :B

I also have to mention that I rented the 85L for this shoot and I was completely BLOWN AWAY by the amazing quality and bokeh. Definitely on my wishlist now!

I hope you love the photos as much as I do!

Read Veena’s post as well as the Dear Laura blog for their take on the shoot too!
